How Super Australia Online
Accesses Your Funds

In some cases you may have worked for more
than one employer which means you will have
funds in a number of different accounts.

This causes problems for most people who
have returned home and are unable to deal
with different Australian financial institutions.
Super Australia Online will be able to begin
accessing these funds and if further information
is required we will forward you additional
paperwork to complete.

Some students and backpackers have had funds
in 5 or 6 different accounts and it has taken
Super Australia Online up to 3 months to
access their funds. If you have funds Super Australia Online will find them.

Australian Taxation Law requires that when
superannuation funds are accessed prior
to age 55 to non residents a 30% withholding
tax is charged. This is done by the
superannuation fund before your cheque is
mailed to you.

If you have more than A$5000 in your fund
you will be required to provide additional
information to the Department of Immigration,
Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs.

Super Australia Online will provide you with
the relevant form.
